VISITATION PARISH

Forest Grove (Verboort), OR
The Interior Church Painting Project funded generously by the Visitation Altar Society and a private donor has finally been scheduled from October 6-23. It has been long overdue to put a fresh coat of paint and to brighten up the interior of the Church. This project will require some flexibility and adaptability as the church will be temporary closed for liturgical services. We will be creating a sacred space for the liturgical celebration of Mass in the North Dining Side of the Parish Center from Friday, October 9 to Friday, October 23. Please be aware that Zoom capability for Mass will not be available during that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Once this project is done, the beautification of the interior sacred space of the Church will be well worth it.

Welcome to Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Verboort, Oregon. The church was established in 1875 when six adventurous Dutch families arrived seeking to create an embracing and nurturing environment through prayer, education, good works, and the recognition that we are all children of God. MORE
It is a privilege of priests to lead others in prayer, to pray for others, to lift intentions before the Lord, and to entrust others to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. We are introducing the "Pray for Me" Ministry to establish a stronger community in faith and support in our cluster of parishes here in rural Washington County of North Plains, Roy, and Verboort. We invite you to share your prayer intentions--your joys and sorrows, your worries and thanksgiving, or all that rests quietly on your heart. Your submitted intention will be prayed by the clergy (Bishop Steiner, Fr. Michael, Fr. Augustus, and Fr. Rayappan) during our time of prayer. Remember, the power of prayer changes lives. "Pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective." (James 5:16) Please be respectful in the intentions you submit. Prayer request that include offensive or inappropriate language will be removed.
